TOWN GARDEN

COMMUNITY GARDENS

Beechgrove GardenHaving been a guest designer for Beechgrove Garden since 2001, I have been involved in numerous projects and it has been hard to choose which community gardens to show. However the deciding factor simply came down to my ability as a photographer and space so I’ve chosen one in the hope of doing it some justice! To all my other community gardens, please don’t be offended, you were all equally important to me.

ARCHIE: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary’s Children’s Hospital Grounds

Objective: To create a magical garden and provide a safe route for all users of varying health and abilities from the car park and Maggie’s Centre to the hospital doors via a ramped path. A haven for parents who need to find a little solitude within a safe distance of the hospital and for the children who attend the hospital long term to have a safe educational space and play area.

Concept: Jungle meets Alice in Wonderland in Africa ....but in the North East of Scotland!
